<p>If you get this message in boot-up of your Windows, the problem is on your file BOOT.ini stored into top level of disk.</p>
<ul>
<li>First you need your windows xp cd rom, boot the machine with it (be sure your BIOS can boot from cd).</li>
<li>Start a new installation until the setup ask you to press F8 for accept the <a href="http://www.webopedia.com/TERM/E/EULA.html" target="_blank">Eula</a></li>
<li>Now setup can discover your windows installed, at the option press R</li>
<li>Type 1 for identify your damaged windows, and type your administrator password if you have one.</li>
<li>well done, you are inside prompt, now type:<br />
bootcfg /rebuild</li>
<li>this recreate the boot.ini file</li>
<li>at the prompt you can extract the cd-rom and type: exit</li>
<li>at reboot your windows must boot correctly.</li>
