On Windows 7 beta i’ve must learn the new super TaskBar, a big change user will ecounter on next Windows release. Live Messenger 2009 seems works fine, but i’m disappointed when minimize-it the contact list and it still appear on Super TaskBar. I’ve found a little work-around. Exit from Live Messenger, go to your C:\Program Files\Windows Live\Messenger and find the file msnmsgr.exe.
Right click on mouse and choose Properties, go to tab Compatibility and check “Run this program in compatibility for“. From dropdown menu choose Windows Vista.
Now start your Live Messenger and try to minimize, the old msn icon should appear on TrayBar. Last but non last, the icon disappear after a while because go to “hidden icons” group for inactivity. If you want to pin in TrayBar simply choose “Customize” from “Show Hidden Icons” and switch the Live Messenger from “Only show notifications” to “Show icon and notifications“
